5, Baby Smell

Maybe Coming Soon.

I am aware that this is primarily a parent thing, which seeing as I am a parent, I am fine with. But, after washing my son and having him come running over to me last night, putting his head on my chest to give me a hug.. I bent to kiss the top of his head and he had that wonderful baby smell. I know he's not a baby anymore, but he smells like baby! It's so nice. There is no real way to describe it, that I've found. But there is a newness, a freshness, and innocence to it that is so pure and lovely. I highly recommend visiting someone with a youngster, that is if you don't have one of your own. Just kiss the top of their head and take it in.. It's completely different than anything else!

4, Fresh Air

The freshness it brings into a room is wonderful! I love walking outside and feeling that wonderful air, there is such a huge difference between the air inside and out. It's not that the air is necessarily bad, but it feels completely different. It cools, warms, refreshes. That's so silly to get excited about that stuff, but it has been overwhelmingly hot in our house. The ability to open the bedroom window, especially at night and allow all that fresh air to come in and cool the room is wonderful. It helps us sleep better and overall just makes me much more comfortable. Here's to fresh air! WHEEEEE! I feel energized -OR- relaxed by it depending on when & where. It's a good thing.

3, Windows

Coming Soon.

Windows! Awesome.. They let in light, allow you to view what is on the other side { in most cases}. They bring the outside in and the like. It's so strange something so mundane can hold interest, but they do. In the case of our place, they let in HEAT.. which is not great for us! But I've opened the window in our bedroom at night this past week, SO NICE..!.. Which brings me to my next entry!

2, The Ever Bright Sun

Coming Soon.

I know that in the past I did one entry on light. But this one is specifically on the sun. On our trip home from Las Vegas, we'd made it over the mountain range & were well onto the last legs of our trip, when I saw the sun setting way out on the horizon. It looked strangely soft and warm, probably viewing through all the haze and cloud cover made it look this way. It was very strange indeed. Now, normally I am not a sun kind of person, but this sun was different. As it was setting it had a completely different feel to it. And yes, I know the setting sun is pretty cliche, but for me this was so romantic, but not in typical sort of way. It some how made coming back home, inviting. Sort of like it wasn't hot anymore, but still a beacon for us to find our way. Again, as with my first post, my son was fascinated by it. And his curiosity makes me happy and enjoy things so much more. So I pick the sun for this entry. I have photos of that sunset to post. That will come shortly.
